Business Administration / Information Systems: The Information Systems Management program at Berkeley College is designed to develop an understanding of how successful businesses have streamlined their office systems and reorganized their staffs to more efficiently conduct business. In this program you'll gain a broad background in business administration, computer technology, managerial techniques, and interpersonal skills.

Information and Network Technology - Associate Degree
Information & Networking Technology (INT) students are instructed in areas needed to gain knowledge, skills and experience necessary to perform entry level tasks on IBM-compatible and Macintosh personal computers, including but not limited to set-up, configuration, upgrades, diagnosis, and repair. Students become familiar with installation and upgrading of operating systems, office products, and software for word processing, web design, spreadsheets and databases. This program also provides LAN/WAN education in Windows 9X, Windows 2000 and Novell, as well as NetWare set-up, configuration and management. This course also provides students with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and CBT (computer based education) opportunities.

Information Technology: The information technology degree program is designed to develop a strong base of practical, real-world business and technology skills from professors who are also IT professionals. In addition to important undergraduate foundation studies, you can learn to link software and hardware needs to support business goals. You can develop a fundamental understanding of business along with technical skills such as computer languages, client-server networks, Web publishing, and database and spreadsheet applications.

Associate Degree - Business and Information Technology: The Administrative Assistant program provides specialized education, which enables the graduate to advance rapidly to key supervisory positions. A sufficient amount of accounting is offered to enable the graduate to handle financial records. This is also an excellent program for preparing students to take the CPS, Certified Professional Secretary exam.

Computer Information Systems - Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.): If you are interested in becoming an IT professional, but need to enhance your skills and knowledge before you seek employment, the Associate of Applied Science in Computer Information Systems will give you the advantage you need to attain your professional goals.

Our program prepares you with the general education, applied knowledge, technical skills, and work habits required for a wide range of entry-level positions in the field. You will gain the foundational skills necessary to install and maintain computer networks, troubleshoot hardware and software problems, manage databases, and develop Web pages.

The emphasis areas allow you to choose to concentrate in programming, network administration and Web development.

The core curriculum of the program is designed to assist students to take exams leading to certification as a Microsoft. Certified Systems Engineer, A+, NET+, CNA, CCNA, and LPI professional. Cabling includes: Telecommunications, Fiber-Optics, and Copper Based Cabling.
