a solid foundation in food preparation, purchasing,
inventory control, sanitation, and creative cooking
methods. Successful graduates are prepared to combine
these essential basics with a personal creative flair.
Professional
Cook - Diploma: The Professional Cook is the
mainstay of all commercial food preparation. Professional
cooks deal literally "hands-on" with food,
its storage and cleanliness, as well as its preparation
and presentation utilizing a variety of styles and techniques.
The Professional Cook program differs from the associate
degree program specifically because it does not emphasize
the general studies courses necessary for the degree.
This program is also available in the evenings and on
weekends.

Culinary
Arts / Restaurant Management: Graduates will
be prepared to assume entry-level positions as prep
cooks, line cooks, assistant food service managers,
and assistant restaurant managers. This program is specially
designed for the person who plans a successful food
service career, and/or plans to open a restaurant, catering
service, or other food service establishment. Months
of study are crowned by a 360-hour externship in which
students gain real, on-the-job experience working in
